Notre vin rouge
20 acres of vineyard are given over to producing our red wine. The varieties planted are :
• 50% Merlot (which ensures suppleness and elegance),
• 45% Cabernet Sauvignon (which allows the wine to keep well),
• 5% Cabernet Franc (which develop a remarquable bouquet).
The vines are on average 28 years old.
The harvest, made traditionnally, is then carefully destemmed before the crop goes into tha vat.
Each grape variety is vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, in order to control perfectly the fermentation and maturation processes.
After the blending, Château Claron red wine is matured for 18 mounths in oak barrels, a proportion of wich is renewed each year. Then the wine is bottled at the Château.
Château Claron red wine has a deep purple color. It develops red fruit aromoas with spicy and woody overtones. It is a well-balanced, elegant and well-structured wine wich delops with great harmony after few years of ageing.
It is perfect with red meat, game, poultry and cheeses, and should be served at the right temperature (18° Celsius).

Notre vin blanc
43 acres of vineyard are designated to the production of our dry white wine. The varieties planted are ::
• 60% Sémillon bringing to the wine roundness and finesse,
• 35% Sauvignon providing great possibilities for the developemnt of aroma, freshness and liveliness.
• 5% Muscadelle bringing floral notes and fruit flavours to the wine.
The vines are on average 28 years old.
After the harvest, the grape are sorted before being taken, intact, to the press.
Each variety is vinified separately in stainless steel vats at low temperature (16°-20° Celsius) so as to perserve all the grape's aromatic potential.
After blending, the wine is bottled at the Château.
Château Claron dry white wine has a limpid and brilliant yellow robe with green reflections. It develops floral and citrus fruits notes. Well-rounded and Well-balanced, it is fresh and fruitly.
This wine can be enjoyed chillied as an aperitif with hors d'œuvres, shellfish and fish, or white meat.
